Math Crossword Changelog
Every public release, in order.
Version 1.0.1 TBD (replace with actual release date)
Minor update focused on new-player onboarding and housekeeping.
Onboarding
- Unskippable tutorial: a fresh install (or a reset account) now opens straight into the tutorial and stays there until every tutorial puzzle is solved. If you close the app mid-tutorial, it resumes right where you left off.
- Reset progress now replays the tutorial: Settings → "Reset progress & stats" drops you straight back into the tutorial instead of leaving you on the menu.
- No ads during the tutorial: banner ads no longer show while you're working through it, for a smoother first impression.
Level Select
- Level Select is now a grid: each difficulty band shows a compact numbered grid of puzzles instead of a single-column list, with locked, unlocked, and solved states at a glance.
Version 1.0.0 21/07/2021
Initial release. First public version of Math Crossword.
Gameplay
- Numbers-only crossword mechanic: a grid of interlocking equations, crossword-style. Operators (+, −, ×, /) are always shown; you just fill in the missing numbers.
- Guided tutorial that introduces the mechanic one concept at a time.
- Four difficulty bands: Easy, Medium, Hard, and Very Hard.
- Campaign mode: a curated, ordered sequence of puzzles across all difficulty bands, unlocked as you complete them.
- Endless mode: pick a difficulty for an infinite stream of freshly generated puzzles.
- Daily Challenge: one puzzle a day, the same for every player, with streak tracking.
- Stats tracking: puzzles solved, difficulty breakdown, and streaks.
- In-progress puzzles are saved automatically, so you can pick up right where you left off.
Puzzle quality
- Every generated puzzle is guaranteed solvable through pure logic, no guessing required.
- Puzzle generation runs in the background, so even the biggest Very Hard grids load without slowing the game down.
Visual design
- Rounded-cell grid with animated fill states and a satisfying scale-pop entrance animation.
- 8 color themes across 4 palettes (Sunset, Ocean, Meadow, Grape), each with light and dark variants, selectable in Settings.
- Trophy celebration when you complete a puzzle.
Ads & privacy
- Supported by banner ads via Google AdMob.
- Players in the EEA/UK see a consent prompt before any personalized ads are shown, with an "Ad privacy options" setting in Settings to revisit that choice anytime.
- See our Privacy Policy for what stays on your device and what AdMob collects for ads.
